Do You Take Insurance?
All health insurance policies are not the same. The amount of reimbursement you receive depends on the type and amount of coverage your policy provides. I currently accept Cigna and Medicare. If you have any other type of insurance, feel free to consult with me about how you can utilize your policy's out of network benefits to defray the cost of treatment.
Prior to your first visit, call your insurance company to find out what your benefits are for psychotherapy (often referred to as "Mental Health" or "Behavioral Health"). You may do this by calling the customer service phone number listed on your insurance card.
When using your insurance for mental health services, please consider that in order to make an insurance claim, your treatment must be considered medically necessary. This means you will be given a diagnosis, and your sessions must be directed toward the treatment of that diagnosis.

Can I use my health insurance to pay for RRT?
Yes, however, since health insurance companies typically bill by the hour, and since health insurance will not pay for more than one hour per day, your RRT treatments will be broken up into several sessions. This means your RRT experience will likely take longer than the estimated 1-3 sessions to resolve your issue. Even if it takes 10 sessions, this is still far more rapid than having to go to traditional therapy for several years.
